Presentation on Digital Diplomacy Given by Gökhan Yücel

On Tuesday, September 4, 2018, Director of Diplomacy Live Gökhan Yücel met with Daily Sabah at the headquarters of the Media Association to give a presentation on digital diplomacy.

We discussed the environment in which diplomacy is conducted, the emergence of new topics on diplomatic agendas – including internet governance and digital policy – and the use of new data analytics and connectivity tools in the practice of diplomacy (including social media, data and visualization). There was also a strong focus on big data and its potential to innovate diplomatic and international affairs, as well as its place on the agenda of foreign policymakers.
